West Bladen now 19-1, 7-0 in conference play with a win over Clinton.

BLADENBORO, NC – BLADENBORO –Senior Chase Williams poured in 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead West Bladen to a 64-26 Southeastern Athletic Conference basketball victory over Clinton Tuesday night.
Coach Travis Pait’s Knights remained atop the SAC with a 7-0 record and are 19-1 overall. The Knights travel to Midway Friday night. Clinton, now 0-7 and 3-18, will host Red Springs Friday.
It was the 10th double-double of the season for the 6-8 Citadel signee. Williams connected on 8 of 12 shots from the field, blocked 2 shots and had 1 assist and a deflection.
Knight senior Hezekiah Adams shot 5 of 7 from the field and contributed 2 deflections, an assist, a rebound and a steal. Junior Jackson Pait bombed in a trio of 3-point shots and racked up 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.
West sophomore Kendell Lesane pumped in 9 points and added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a deflection. Senior Connor Monroe worked the boards for 7 points and 3 rebounds and had 2 steals.
Junior Tylik McCall pulled down 3 rebounds and dished out 3 assists for West. Senior Ty’Leak Ballard and junior Justin Spaulding grabbed 2 rebounds each. Junior Keonta Hill had 3 deflections, 2 points and a steal.
“We did some good stuff - particularly in the first half,” said Coach Pait. “We moved the ball well, and how about that sequence where we swung it around several times before the starters came out. Our guys know what a good shot is and who needs to take it. They are very unselfish.”
Pait stole the ball and pitched ahead to Adams for a lay-up to start the game. Lesane banked in a runner, and Pait buried a 3-pointer from right of the key then delivered an assist to Lesane for a lay-up. Adams stole the ball and raced for a lay-up and an 11-0 West lead.
Williams dropped in a lay-up off a Lesane assist then sank 2 free throws, before Pait nailed a corner 3-ball to boost the lead to 18-3.
A rebound basket by Williams began the 2nd period, and Adams hooked in a lay-up over a defender. Williams banked in a short jumper, converted a Pait assist into a lay-in and cashed in 2 free throws for a 28-7 lead.
Pait drilled in a long 3-ball then popped in a jumper from the key and tacked on a free throw. Williams powered in a follow shot then flipped in a 4-footer off a McCall assist to push the Knight halftime lead to 38-11.
Lesane opened the 2nd half with a baseline drive that resulted in a 3-point play. Adams swished a pair of free throws then fired in a corner 3-ball. Lesane tossed in a 12-footer for a 48-13 lead.
Monroe turned a feed from Williams into a lay-up and a 3-point play. Pait sent an assist to Adams for a lay-up, and Williams hooked in a basket. Williams then spun to the rim and thundered in a dunk then hit a free throw for a 58-17 lead at the quarter break.
Monroe hit the boards for a pair of follow shots in the final period, and Hill drove for a lay-up to close out the West scoring.
The Knights shot 48 percent from the field (25 of 52), while holding Clinton to 28 percent shooting (11 of 39). West Bladen held a 36-17 advantage on the boards.
