Middle School Girls Basketball: Elizabethtown 33, Bladenboro 17.

BLADENBORO - Racquel Whittington scored 6 of her game-high 14 points during a 13-6 2nd quarter spurt that propelled Elizabethtown to a 33-17 Waccamaw Middle School Conference basketball victory Thursday over Bladenboro.

 

Shamairrha McEachin added 7 points for the Lady Cougars who improved to 2-0 on the season. Racquel Whittington tossed in a pair of baskets during a 7-0 closing run after Bladenboro had trimmed the lead to 26-17.

 

Adyson Carroll poured in 13 of Bladenboro’s 17 points. The Lady Bulldogs, now 1-1, will visit East Columbus Wednesday.

 

Elizabethtown (33) – Morgan Hammon 4, NyAshia Lyles 2, Shamairrha McEachen 7, Zariyah Riddy 4, Racquel Whittington 14, Armani Cooper, Kassidy Godwin, Chanel High, Angel Moore, Jeniyah Whittington 2.
