Middle School Girls Basketball: Clarkton 21, Williams 16.

CLARKTON, NC – Kynzlee Wood buried a 3-point shot and another basket in the 2nd half Monday as Clarkton outlasted Williams in Waccamaw Middle School girls’ basketball action.

Wood led the Lady Blue Devils with 9 points. Zoey Graham tossed in 6 points, and Kynslie Kinlaw netted 4 points. Clarkton built a 9-3 halftime lead and led 16-5 before Williams sliced the margin to 16-13. A Graham free throw and baskets by Ward and Trinity Davis stretched the lead to 21-13.

Kamryn Simmons topped the Williams scoring with 10 points. The Lady Aggies outscored Clarkton at the foulline making 8 of 26 free throws. The Lady Blue Devils made 2 of their 4 foul shots.
