Middle School Boys Basketball: Emereau Bladen 46, Riverside Christian Academy 43.

Fayetteville, NC - The Emereau Bladen boys defeated Riverside Christian Academy on Monday evening in a high scoring game. This win moves Emereau to a 7-2 record, building upon a strong season.

Mark'Kus Bass and Lakota Schmale combined for 30 of Emereau's scoring total. Whether it was at the free throw line or in the paint, the duo of Bass and Schmale kept the Aviators offense rolling. Rasheed Johnson led the scoring for Riverside Christian Academy with 24 points.

In the first half for Riverside Christian Academy, Myles P. had four points off of free throws. EJ Barton drained a 3 point shot. Rasheed Johnson layed in three buckets with a 3-pointer. E. Smith scored a layup. Jayden Bennett sank a free throw.

Emereau used balanced scoring to take a one point lead into the half. This included 8 points by Schmale and a layup from Noah Ray. Greylon Robinson nailed a 3-pointer and Cayden Smith scored a layup. Mark'Kus Bass added in 5 points with Stryker Pait also knocking down a free throw.

The Aviators weren't finished with their scoring attack, as they continued into the second half. Jayden McKoy and Bryson Britt both scored layups. The duo of Bass and Schmale combined for 17 points in a strong second half. Cayden Smith knocked down a free throw and Greylon Robinson drained a 3-pointer.

In the second half, Johnson and Bennett combined for 22 points in the second half, scoring 22 of the 24 points for Riverside Christian Academy. EJ Barton scored a layup as well.

Emereau will look to continue their success against Elizabethtown Christian Academy on Thursday. Games will start at 4:15pm as the girls kick off the action, with the boys to follow aroud 5:30pm.
