Dunn, NC - The East Bladen Lady Eagles earned a hard fought 1-0 victory over Midway on the road, keeping their undefeated record intact.
The game’s lone goal came off a well-executed set piece.
Gabby Rebollar delivered a perfectly placed corner kick into the box, where NeNe Ward rose above the defense and delivered a powerful header into the back of the net, giving East Bladen the lead.
Defensively, goalkeeper Aubrie Nixon stood tall, recording a shutout with four saves.
The Lady Eagles' defense held firm, limiting Midway to just six total shots.
On the offensive end, East Bladen applied consistent pressure throughout the match, outshooting Midway 21-6.
Jakie Medina led the attack, firing eight shots in the game.
With the win, East Bladen improves to 3-0-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
