Bladenboro, NC - Under clear skies and in front of a supportive home crowd, Bladenboro Middle School’s softball team delivered a strong performance on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs showcased their growth, teamwork, and determination as they earned their second win of the season.
From the very first inning, Bladenboro set the tone. Adyson Carroll ignited the offense with an inside-the-park home run that sent a jolt of energy through the dugout. Carroll’s hustle around the bases and her keen eye at the plate—drawing a walk later in the game—helped fuel the team's momentum.
In the fourth inning, Maycee Kinlaw delivered the moment of the game with a grand slam, sending the ball soaring and clearing the bases.
Kinlaw finished with an outstanding day at the plate, tallying two hits, two runs scored, and a game-high seven RBIs. Her presence was just as commanding in the circle, striking out nine batters with poise and precision.
Kristen Singletary was another steady contributor at the plate, racking up two hits and driving in three runs to help extend Bladenboro’s lead. Kaylee Fisher added to the effort with a hit and an RBI of her own, while Hadley Dove showed patience at the plate, drawing a walk and scoring a run.
Hailii Andrews was a spark plug on the basepaths, crossing home plate three times and adding a hit to her day. Kylee Davenport showed good discipline at the plate with a walk and also scored twice. Carley Rhodes made the most of her opportunities, reaching base multiple times with three walks and adding an RBI and three runs scored to her stat line.
Elizabeth Faircloth and Riley Dowless rounded out the offensive attack, with Faircloth drawing two walks and scoring, and Dowless contributing two RBIs, two runs scored, and two walks.

Though Elizabethtown Middle didn’t get the outcome they hoped for, their players competed with heart and continued to show growth throughout the game.
Zariyah Riddy and Racquel Whittington brought energy to the field, while Jeniyah and Ariana Whittington each made key contributions with their effort and focus. Calleigh Smith and Legacy McNeil displayed hustle that didn't go unnoticed, and Fra’Nasia Marshall added grit in every play she was a part of.
The team’s positive spirit was evident through players like Nyashia Lyles, Madison McLaurin, and Jazlyn McKinley-Gibbons, who gave their all in every inning.
Chanel High, Janiyah Grimes, and Morgan Hammon also brought strong attitudes and determination to the diamond, giving Elizabethtown a solid foundation to keep building upon.
Bladenboro now holds a 2-1 record and will look to carry their momentum into next week’s road game against East Columbus.
Both teams left the field Wednesday with valuable takeaways—Bladenboro with a win to build on, and Elizabethtown with experience that will help them grow stronger as the season unfolds.
